Tonight we dined at The Wharf, a restaurant right on the waterfront. As per the usual Cayman fare it was fantastic food. The view was gorgeous. We got there before sundown and were able to enjoy our meal as the sun was setting right in front of us. Unfortunately I forgot the camera so I can’t share pictures. But they also have there own little thing that they do there where they feed the tarpon at 9pm each night. When we arrived at 6:30pm there were a few hanging out around the feeding post; maybe six at most. By the time we left, at 7:45pm, there were well over 40 swimming back and forth. It was quite a sight.
But before our wonderful dinner that cost in the ballpark of $110 CI (you do the math), we enjoyed a day up at Rum Point. It’s the northern point of the island on the eastern side. Fun little beach and really shallow water. We waded out abut 100 yards or so and the water was only 4 feet deep! It was a little over commercialized and of course we had a school trip of elementary kids and a cruise ship excursion to deal with. But it was fun.
While we love this island and can’t wait to come back. We return home tomorrow to our families and dogs. We miss everyone. Pictures will probably be up sometime Sunday.
